A Note From Our Director
I want to share with you, our mission partners, two beautiful and heartwarming stories of clients that have come through our doors.
*At New Beginnings PHC, all our services are free, and our clients’ information is confidential. *
I want to talk first about a young lady who came into our center. She plopped down in our peer counseling room, pulled her legs up onto the sofa, crossed her arms, and said, “I do not care what my mom or grandma sitting in that waiting room have to say! I’m going to have an abortion!” After slowing her down and easing some of the tension, we were able to talk to her about her life situation and discuss some of her options.
We were able to administer a pregnancy test and do an Ultrasound with this young lady. She was adamant that she did not want her mom and grandma in the room with her.
As she lay on the Ultrasound table and watched the screen with her little baby jumping around and doing summersaults in her belly, she began to silently cry. With tears streaming down her face, she could not tear her eyes from the screen. She told the nurse, ‘Hurry, quick! Go get my mom and grandma! They have to see this!”
Her little gymnast is now 9 years old! Our client is married and has two children.
Thank you for being a part of our mission!
Our second client I want to share with you, came into our Center and was what we refer to as Abortion Vulnerable. She was single and the father of the baby was addicted to alcohol and drugs. Our life coach helped her come up with a short-term plan, and offered the father prenatal classes through our Earn While You Learn program.
Our facilitator met with the mom and dad weekly. They were offered additional classes in our HUGS bible study. Dad was going through a bible-based recovery program for his addiction.
Both clients went through the HUGS New Beginnings Bible Study, and after the 8-week study was finished, both mom and dad repented of their sins and accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior! They were married and began actively serving in a church. Dad even went on to seminary to become a youth pastor.
These are just two examples of the amazing and awe-inspiring clients we have been blessed to work with thanks to the support of donors like you.
Thank you for going on this mission with us to save mothers and children!
